I looked down at the scale it toped 292 and I almost fell flat out. Then came some desk jobs and coaching hours, and then Covid hit, which was almost a month of margaritas and online Poker. I once got up to 263 but was unable to hold that weight for more than a week. Well that got a little out of hand, my playing weight was 255. After College football I told myself that I wouldn't work out until I was fat. Hard work Pays off has always been the Motto I have striven to live by. If you’re looking for a gym on a slightly smaller scale with all the equipment of a chain gym, that will coach you through your fitness program, look no further. The staff is always willing to help and motivate especially if they see you struggle a bit. The group classes and instructors are great. The semi-private classes (which I attend) are small so you get the individual coaching you need. He knew exactly what is needed to strengthen the muscle around my knee and how to minimize the pain in my foot from surgery. The owner John is amazing and also a physical therapist. When I found Conquer Fitness they met all of my needs. Due to my knee and foot pain, I was in search of weight lifting and the use of actual equipment (dumbbells, barbells etc) to strength train. The programs at the other gyms required a lot of jumping, bands and body weight in the workouts. After several attempts of working out at literally every gym in the area none of them seem to fit what I was in search of. My clothes no longer fit, my joints began to ache and I knew it was time to restart my fitness journey. Needless to say, I sat at my desk for long periods of time and eventually gained 10 pounds over a 2 year period. In between that time (2020) I began working from home due to COVID. I am current member at Conquer Fitness and I absolutely love it! In 2019 I had foot surgery, in 2021 I discovered loss of cartilage in my knee. You will definitely work hard and you will feel it! My goal was to increase strength - and with the support of the team at CF, I'm well on my way to being where I want to be. No fluff.no wasted time.nothing without a purpose. No selfie-takers in this crowd! :) The programs are extremely effective and different in each session. And you'll find people of all shapes and sizes, and a wide range of ages in varying stages of their fitness journeys working hard at this gym. All the trainers are kind, smart and attentive. The gym itself has everything you could possibly need in abundant supply - and the concept of small group classes and semi-private personal training is genius. It genuinely feels like you are doing this for YOU and not a corporate machine. And I've got them! He's also not a hard seller. John is warm - and extremely knowledgeable - and understanding of what you believe are your own limitations. It feels different as soon as you walk in the door and are met by the owner, John. Hate the awkward waiting for machines.all the things! :) Conquer Fitness is not that. Hate the selfie taking and the intimidation factor of the 'get swole' crowd.
